Luminosity beat OpTic 2-0 in Group A's decider match to advance to the playoffs that will take place in London (16-12 on Inferno and 16-13 on Overpass).

Day two at the ESL Pro League Season 3 Finals continued with the first decider match of the event as Luminosity and OpTic faced off in a best-of-three series.

A quad-kill and a 1vs1 clutch by William "⁠RUSH⁠" Wierzba earned his T-sided team the pistol round and OpTic went on to win the first four rounds of Inferno. Luminosity answered back with four of their own but OpTic took control of the half with RUSH's 1vs4 clutch and led 8-7 at halftime.

The Brazilian team secured the pistol round in the second half but OpTic's force buy worked as they made it 9-8. Epitacio "⁠TACO⁠" de Melo got two entry kills on the B-site to tie it back and Luminosity took the lead with Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's ace (11-10). The dominant T-side of Luminosity continued and won the first map with a 16-12 score.

Luminosity bring down the Green Wall

On Overpass, despite winning the pistol round and the anti-ecos, OpTic lost the fourth round and were forced to eco. Luminosity showed their dominance in the weapon rounds and tied the game at 3-3. Although Luminosity extended their lead to 5-3, OpTic ended the half on a strong note as they won six of the last seven rounds.

The Brazilians had a solid pistol round in the second half but once again fell victim to a force buy in the second round (10-7). Luminosity had every chance get their 10th round but instead they lost a 4vs2 as OpTic grabbed their 13th.

Luminosity finally began stopping the North Americans which triggered a timeout by OpTic, who led 13-12. The effort to halt the comeback was trivial as Luminosity won the map 16-13, and the series 2-0.
